One requirement, one line
Type the obligation. Renew general liability insurance. That is the whole entry.
Two things are deliberately not optional: who it is filed with, and when it is due. An obligation with no deadline cannot be tracked, and a date somebody invented is worse than no date at all. Category, jurisdiction, owner and recurrence all wait until you know them.

Finance is responsible is how obligations get missed. Every requirement names someone, and the work shows up on their plate rather than in a shared folder nobody opens.

Common questions
What if a due date moves?
Change it. The next one is scheduled from the due date rather than the day you filed, so one late year does not shift every year after it.
Can we see what is already done?
Yes, but not by default – the board opens on what is still owed, because a list of everything ever filed buries the four things that matter this month.
